Welcome to Colour Cascade Fabrics

Dyeing Times

To make things easier for you, we have created a Weekly Fabric Update page which is located in the top menu. This is where you will be able to see which fabrics are currently in stock and which ones have a longer wait on them. Please have a look at this page before ordering so you are aware if the fabric you would like to order has a long wait on it or not……………. Have you seen that we now notify you when the fabrics are being Cut, Surged, Dyed, Washed etc? If you log into your account, and check the “orders” tab you will be able to see what process your fabric is currently going through! If you went through checkout as a guest (not signed into your account or do not have an account) send me a message to add it to your account (please create one if you haven’t already) **** LAYBYS are not processed until the final payment has been made, they are not processed from date of original order.

Please note: That waiting times won’t change by using Afterpay. Hand Dyed Fabrics processing times (up to 3 weeks normally OR up to 12 weeks during sales) will still apply

My love of cross stitching has brought me to Hand Dyed Fabrics. The shop is fully stocked with everything you can think of to purchase for your cross stitch addiction. If there is anything that I have not got stocked in the shop please ask as I can always see if I can get it!
Most orders take up to 2 – 3 weeks to be ready to post, sooner if fabric is in stock. Australian orders take around 2 days to get to their destination once they have been posted. International orders can take another 1 to 2 weeks for delivery depending on where in the world you are.Canada and Germany are taking between 2-6 weeks, we think this is due to sitting in customs before being delivered.
Please allow for more time during sales (Up to 4-16 weeks), as you can imagine I am quite busy during these times and orders do take longer to process, as well as the sheer amount of fabric that needs to be ordered in from overseas takes time to get here as well. I try to be as organised as possible, but I can not pre-determine how much or what I need to order until the orders come in.
Please remember that these are Hand Dyed Fabrics, no piece will dye exactly the same as the next, although I will keep the colours as accurate as possible, and dye each order using the same method as I have used in the examples shown.
Each and every type of fabric takes the dye a little differently than the others (an example is shown above) I always cut the fabric up to 1 inch larger than requested to avoid shrinkage in the dyeing process, to keep your fabric as close to the size you paid for; although even doing this can still make the fabric a few cm’s shorter, this is unavoidable and to be expected. The washing process can also shrink fabrics, depending on the heat in the water that is needed to dye and wash the fabrics thoroughly. Please Read the FAQs and Refund and Returns Policy for more information.
If you would like to know how a colour looks on a certain type of fabric, please ask **Please also note that No Hand Dyed Fabric is guaranteed to be Colourfast! Although we use the correct fixers during the dye process, it is not unusual for some darker colours (such as reds and purples) to still run a little colour when wet, This could change the colour of the threads that you have stitched. Please use grime guards on your QSnaps or Frames to avoid having to wash the fabric**
**Colour Cascade Fabrics only stocks quality fabric from quality suppliers such as Zweigart, Permin and DMC. All Opalescent fabrics are made by the manufacturer. The glitter effect is woven into the fabric during the manufacturing process,**
